I would appreciate some advice from the combined brains of this forum!
As you may or may not know, I've started to produce limited quantities of life size stone Clumber Spaniels. Nicknamed "Hernia Henry" because they are modelled on my boy, Henry and weigh in excess of 100kg, with as much packing inside the mould as I dare without weakening the structure.
Now it appears that people are daft enough to buy them, so I need to ship a few around the UK, I think I've found a pallet company that will do it for around £60 and I have a supply of standard sized pallets.
My question to the assembled brains trust is how do I fix it down? I am a hobbyist, so I don't have any "banda" machines (or access to them). I also don't want 100kg sliding or toppling over and whatever I do, I don't want to mark the stone.
I had wondered if I built a wooden frame around the statue then across the plinth at either end to stop it moving/lifting
However, over to you?
I attach a picture of a Hernia Henry to give you an idea.
Cheers
Peter
