I've just spent over 30k on a mini which I know il never see back but it's all about the fun of it,Steve I'm saving up pal don't retire in the next coupleBlimey thats a tricky one to answer !!! All depends on what you want really, this truck is being done on the cheap as its just a run around but I guess a basic rod would be around 30-35K some have gone over 100K !!!
My own roadster owes me 14K but I made most of the stuff on it so owes me little but if I was to factor in my labour rate of £25 an hour it would be over 100K and my hourly rate is cheap !!! some charge £50 per hour

Early Porsche 911's sold in USA had lead or cast iron weights added under the front bumper to stop them being so "tail happy".
Engineered oak would look good to.
