Nope you still had a valid MOT.As far as I’m aware, that has been the case anyway, if it passes it passes, if it fails, that’s it, the old mot no longer holds and you have an unroadworthy vehicle.![]()
We are leaving the EU John......i guess its not filtered up Norf yet.The test as it was had settled down and was running nice and reliably
It is only natural that we should change the structure of the test
To fall in with the E U Guide lines
Now a class 4 had become a M1

The garage can not stop you driving your car away with a dangerous fail we can only advise against it
All 3 tests today were passes
What are Mill lights John? I know what head light washers are, bit confused as to why you say that they would scrap older vehicles?? Surely replacing them isn't that expensive??
MIL is the engine malfunction light some of the headlight washer wiper systems are a fortune to repair/replaceWhat are Mill lights John? I know what head light washers are, bit confused as to why you say that they would scrap older vehicles?? Surely replacing them isn't that expensive??
My power upgrade is plug and play and switched so it can just be taken out of line and everything returns to standard settingsHow do you get around the remap when you refit DPF?
Does the light washers need to be working if fitted or is there going to be a list of vehicles factory fitted.MIL is the engine malfunction light some of the headlight washer wiper systems are a fortune to repair/replace
Where did you get that from and whats it fitted in?My power upgrade is plug and play and switched so it can just be taken out of line and everything returns to standard settings
Does swapping the engine from a 2 litre 4 cylinder to a 3.9 litre V8 count ?Interesting the bit that says over 40 year old vehicle exempt from MOT test if the "have not been substantially changed in the previous 30 years."

John will tell us but my memory of when they used inertia boxes strapped to the passenger seat if it failed on a major fault you could not drive it away. That has never & is still not the case.
However it is an offence to drive an unroadworthy vehicle.

not sure what you meanJohn will tell us but my memory of when they used inertia boxes strapped to the passenger seat if it failed on a major fault you could not drive it away.
Hense garages upgrading or inventing fails as they invariably got the work.
Looks like they want it back that way.
Nope you still had a valid MOT.
k74 l200 and it's a genuine Mitsubishi partWhere did you get that from and whats it fitted in?
not sure what you mean
a garage has no power at all to stop you driving your car away
That's how I understood it too, otherwise what is the point of them giving you the option to take a vehicle for it's next mot up to a month early?
Yes, I understand that an mot doesn't actually mean that a vehicle is going to be 100% roadworthy after it's left the station. lol
That is news to meOne testing station mentioned that with these new rules, prohibition type stickers could be placed on the window of a failed vehicle,........I dunno if he were joking, know anything about John?
