Considering you are supposed to be able to order one later this year for next you think they would of.

Back in 2016 or so they said the new model would be shown this year for orders commencing delivery in 2019.

Jeep are introducing Wrangler pick-up's in 2019 which could be viable alternative for those who previously used Defenders like utility companies, farmers, military etc !

Don't see any point to another Chelsea tractor type vehicle to the LR and RR range. If they want some of the huge Toyota and Ford world wide market then they need a decent utility vehicle that is priced competitively that can compete against them.

Ive seen a few shots of SWB models on testing the 110 is looking good though I think.

its based on the same platform as the D5 and Range Rover i'm Hoping for some decent high tech with practicality :-)

You need to remember its covered in fake panels to disguise the look of it. It'll look pretty good I think and a good 21st century 4x4.

Its never going to be like the original Defender with an instant rust chassis, panel gaps the size of the Grand Canyon etc.

It'll be awesome off road, as every new 4x4 Land Rover have produced and will most likely offer a pick up version as they'd be mad not to now Mercedes do.

And, if every person thats moaned about the demise of the Defender had purchased a new one every 3 years LR wpuld most likely have invested a bit more and simply upgraded it, but we didn't and no car business would be sustainable on build numbers of approx. 20,000 a year of a £20k hand built car.

I’d like to have confidence in landrover, but I think it will end up being much more lifestyle than actually useful. They have hung onto the British industry standard of telling customers what they want instead of asking
