If anyone's interested I now have the 4 piece Fusion 360 files for a Makita battery to 20V Ferrex tool as per my earlier link.
As an aside just also had a mate print me a couple of new feet for my keyboard on a UV curing resin printer.
I copied the original grey one as a solid in AutoCAD and exported as a .stl file.
Just need my own 3D printer now!

Well, pretty much a year down the line and all my Ferrex’s have earned me my living. My drill driver gets used daily and works very hard (although I bought a second backup as Aldi only gives money back for warranty)
The drill has been fantastic even on big hole cutters. Did find the brake a bit lively as it chucks drills out on the release of the trigger but it’s been a grafter.
The batteries 20/40v have worked brilliantly and as they are the bigger ones they won’t need to go through as many charging cycles like my old dewalt so that should extend the lives of them.
The multi tool is a hard worker and done many cuts. Only niggle I have is that it lost a screw with a ball bearing in the end for the quick release lever lock where it should have two it now only has one but for what I paid (only £7!! In the reduced isle) it’s a hard working gift!!
The chainsaw I use occasionally and cannot fault as yet so another good tool.
Then the last one, the impact gun which I’m running on 3/8 drive is the least used which surprised me only because I thought I had more work for it. It’s powerful and works well although not as powerful as a makita of the same size but if you look at £ versus power and it’s occasional use then it’s still brilliant.

You're more than welcome to bits from this if its the same. It's the one I bought in the bargain bin I think for £7.95 and I attempted to convert to 18V Makita batteries:

Last time I was in Holmfirth was as a 16 year old apprentice working on the control tower at Manchester Airport. I remember being very, very drunk an taking a leak near Compos Cafe. It was my introduction to Hürrlimanns!
Stayed in a pub up on the moors above the town.

got a cheapy ferex drill its ok for drilling but put against my dewalt there miles apart ive got quite a few cheap tools for stuff that i dont use much or used every day but no id not change the dewalt or makita for aldi or lidl as i got lots of batterys for both
I purchased a discounted circular saw from the ferrex range.
Sadly I waited till I had the money for a battery and charger...but it does not work. I don't know if it's duff or the battery is duff.
They have no more in stock and I have lost the receipts now.
They have no more in stock and no longer list it......I am hoping it will come back into the stores so I can swap it.

Ferrex related: I bought one of their auto-dimming headshields a while ago and it works fine for my needs as these days I classify as a hobby welder. Cost was around the low £20s. Only minor moans I had was the uncomfortable head cradle which I swapped for the one on my old headshield and the looseness of the darkness adjustment knob (easily fixed with some gaffer tape to lock the knob in place).
Have you got ferrex battery to any other makes of Drill etc
Update......even customer services , who must have this question daily, did not twigg it.
A 20 volt battery will fit a 40 volt power tool BUT will not power it.
I never even thought about that.........returned my 15 quid battery and got a 30 quid one. And boom......circular saw sparked into life instantly.

No sorry. Just Makita battery to Ferrex tool adapter is all I have found. Note that Baucher batteries are apparently interchangeable.
Of course with Ferrex the Active X range aren't compatible with the other 20V stuff they punt.

Had my drill and driver for over a year now with no problems, its the most used of the ferrex gear I have and its used quite a lot. I use the 20/40v batteries because of the chainsaw and grinder, on things like the drill and driver they last ages between charges. Still a thumbs up from me

That's why I was hoping someone had figured out a way of using Ferrex 20/40 stuff with other drills I already own like Bosch and Stanley.
Never heard of Baucher. Lol
The compatibility issue had me confused until someone posted they use the 20/40 with the drill. As it says 20 volt max on the website.
