A really stuck chuck can be removed by clamping a 1/2” drive hex key socket in the chuck and using an impact driver. I removed a chuck off an abandoned ML7 that had been left outside using this method.
Honestly: When I saw the picture of this pitiable ML7 for the first time, I had the same physical feeling that is described when women see a newborn for the first time ...

I was curious to do a test bar on the ML7. Too much chatter, Turned out to be excess play in the chuck bearing, It's one that has been messed around with (by me) a lot. Did attempt to build the bearing up with soft solder way back and nearly melted the whole thing.
