Does anyone know the kits from hemingwaykits.com and can say something about them in general and the Taper Turning Attachment - Mk2 in particular?

They are well-respected, proven designs.

Threads and fasteners will be as the original design rather than modern metric, so you might need to invest in obscure screwcutting gear unless you redesign the item.

They are noted as being economical with the bar or plate material they supply (i.e. anything that is not a casting). There is sometimes barely enough to hold in a chuck and machine the part. It can be easier to make the part from your own longer or bigger piece of the same material.

I think on some items you can buy the drawings alone and then study them (to see what you might need to buy or what you might want to modify) before you commit to buying the complete item. You would have to see if this is possible with the TT attachment.

Asking info for geaers main spindle Myfort7ML lathe

We have a Myford ML7 lathe chasis nr. K33595 ( of 1965 we thinck)
The simple gear on the main spindle is: Ref B17 Part No 70/1209 is missing som of the 65 theets
The dubble pignon, the cluster gear under the main gear: Ref B50 Part No 70/1218 is also missing theets
on the Z21 gear and on the Z56 gear.
We have the old school machinery to make that new gears,
but we want to know the diametral pitch an the pressure angle of those gears?
Is there some one here who can give us that information?
We thinck the pressure angle is 14°30min and the diametral pitch is DP18 after making this calculation:
To find the module or the diametral pich:

Outside diameter gear =MOD x Z+2 we find the MOD = Ouside diameter gear/Z+2

So for Z65 M= Diam D out/Z+2 = 84.12/52+2 = 84.12/67 = M= 1.26

for Z21 M= Diam D out/Z+2 = 30.14/21+2 = 30.14/23 = M= 1.31

for Z56 M= Diam D out/Z+2 = 73.58/56+2 = 73.58/58 = M= 1.27

When we calculat the average MOD of this tree gears

We find 1.26 + 1.13 + 1.27/3 = 1.26

So that could be MOD1.25= DP20.320 or Mod1.27 = DP18

So we choise DP18 because the Myford is a Englisch builded lathe.

We thinck to have seen a pressure angle of 14°30min

Who can help us to cinfirm that information,
so that we can command the correc gear hub to cut those gears new?

You need these parts? I have a complete headstock with the tumbler gears you can have.

In any case you won't find any module gears on a ML7. They are all DP gears with 14.5PA.
