Well, it’s now a fairly blank project, and knowing him he won’t put up with anything needing doing, he just gets it done. The advisories for instance, he’ll do those and likely do the opposite component too. Also he lives next door so I’ll see it all unfold!

We struggled to find the original paint code for the T4 and stumbled on what we thought was correct, code L90D pastel white (log book has it down as grey ). So I bought a rattle can on the bay of flees, of what was called direct gloss (needs no lacquer) and with no prep other than wiping down the wings with brake cleaner, my lad threw some paint on the wings today to try and visually improve things for the moment until we’re ready to bodywork it. Turned out fairly good. He’s happy anyway.
The wings will get scrapped if he can find some good, used, bolt on ones. Unfortunately they’re about £180 the pair where weld on ones are about £50 each
