I used glass for molds but carbon for the parts. I did try putting a layer of 200gm glass in mudguards as a bulk up layer as a few layers of carbon isn't very durable. The worst thing to use is kevlar.
I have made parts inside stock plastic parts, worked well.

When I bought a disc lock years ago it came with a little pouch so you could wear it on your belt. I couldn't help thinking if you came off and landed on it, you'd probably need it surgically removed from a Kidney, or some other vital organ.

    Love the tool idea!

Scar at top of right thigh from Yale key impalement. 4" to the left and I'd probably have been even more unhappy about it  Doctors blank look about how it could have happened cleared completely when she heard "mountain bike".

A&E at DGRI will have seen pretty much every possible MTB related injury :(

I used to have a U lock on the back of my seatpost but found the lock part rattled so I had the lock in my pocket and the shackle behind the seat like a big hook, that wouldn't have been fun in A&E - "Err I slipped and fell".

Good accessory, but dodgy choice in fizzy alcoholic water, I refuse to call it beer
