Many years ago we used to scrap them and put the bits in to Mini Marcos & Mini Moke kit cars

Broke many minis over the years which were by far better condition than some of the basket cases folks are restoring now. Makes me quite sad to think about it. My dad had a couple of complete new Morris Minor traveller wood frames and cut them up and burnt them in the early 70s when no one was bothered about old moggies.

But that's why the remaining ones are valuable, if they were still plentiful the value would be much less

I chopped many Novas up in my youth, try finding a nice, unmolested one now

The last repair panel went in on Friday the lower boot hinge rail. I'd of liked a half rear panel as the one on the car is mishapen but there wasn't one available.

I fitted the boot lid before I spotted the lower return on to male sure its opened and closed nicely.

Surprised at that, some fabulous restorations on the mk1forum.net
Guess you don't need the advice as that is your full time job. Personally I'm amazed at some of the rusty wrecks which are restored to concours condition.

Finished off all the metalwork so It made the short trip across the workshop to the spray booth for a coat of Epoxy primer.

1600E I think.

It's deffo a Corsair and the 1600E was Mk2 Cortina. Had one of those too BTW!

The Corsair had a larger boot than the Cortina, my mate loved his as he was a plasterer and his mixing bath fitted in the boot. I think it was the 2000/2000E had the sought after gearbox.
