I'm going to be that guy again though since nobody else has said it though.
THEY ARE DIGITAL CALLOPERS.
Vernier is a scale, not an instrument.
Callopers
Vernier callopers
Digi callopers
Got to blame it on Auto correct.
SIP, look out for MSC industrial offers
Just no! Sip are s**t cheap and nasty sold at far to much for junk. I would not use sip even if supplied free.
I recommend Insize from cutwel. I'm a professional user running Engineering workshops. I have no hesitation recommending these as a good home user/professional workshop grade tool at affordable prices, good quality and very accurate comparing to top brands and prices.
As forums are a mix and match of people from different backgrounds and abilities, some pros, most not, you will get a whole hash of an array of recommendations good and some very bad. You need to make sure you pick the 'right bones out of the information offered.
There will be other good options offered up, none of us know everything or have tried every brand and offering.

I assume the ones in question are SPI rather than SIP. If that is the case then I totally agree, real scrap. Once bought a set with caliper, mic and angle finder.
Angle finder is ok for what it is.
Mic was ok if you covered over the last digit as that could vary widely.
Caliper was real rubbish, would vary and anywhere near electronics it would go mad, couldn't use it inside my Chiron cabinet at all and it was rough as anything on the sliding.
I have never owned Insize but have used them and seemed decent.
I have used some of the cheap ones and the refresh rate of the screen annoyed me but most were reasonably accurate but lots of variance in the smoothness.
For me it is Mitutoyo, I have scrappers I take to the boats and better for day to day use in the workshop but anything needing accurate measurements and it is micrometers, digital Mitutoyos if under 75mm or manual for over.
They must have improved a huge amount recently then. The SPI ones arnt too bad for mid range.

Calipers
Vernier calipers
Digital calipers
Different things annoy different folk
I wouldn’t go any cheaper than Insize.
the Moore and Wright stuff seems to be knocked off as much as Mitutoyo.
You can’t beat a Mitutoyo, the silver coolant proof are as bombproof a digital caliper as you can get. Likewise with the Mitutoyo digital mics.
