M22 x 1.75 Nut (??)

It's not that uncommon to find 1.75 pitch on Japanese motorcycles. Maybe some widget or other might also be M22. I'm thinking headstock or spindle nut perhaps...

oil drain bungs seem to be a common one for m22x1.75 too and i think some hydraulic fittings

It's a ridiculous way to hinge a door.

Or a fantastic engineering solution.

That might be why it's ringing a bell for me.
I have a repair kit for damaged drain plugs. Maybe that's got a 22x1.75 tap in it.

Honda fuel taps come to mind, I'd have to check the taps to confirm.

Thankyou so much everybody who took the trouble to come back to me on this - and an even bigger thanks to those who have offered to "practically" get involved.
As advised last night I undertook to post pictures - so please see attached - this should answer some of the "negative" comments.
I believe the way forward is to first buy and try a 7/8" UNF nut as measuring the threads again they do indeed correspond to 14TPI.
I am unsure as to why I first assumed metric - probably because I maybe incorrectly believed that they would have been CNC machined, (recently) and therefore would be. (my "Bad" maybe )
Anyway many thanks once again - I'll post the outcome when I am in possession of a 7/8" UNF nut.

If all else fails, send one of us lathe botherers the threaded bit and a bit of brass hexy bar and we can make one for you if it is actually metric, although odds are the unf will match

Thankyou "BrokenBiker" - in point of fact it wouldn't HAVE TO BE brass - moreover although perhaps a "little tricky" during assembly and adjustment - it could be square bar.
I'll keep the thread live to a conclusion.

To be fair I could make one from round bar, just a bit more faff cutting the flats on the lathe but definitely doable

I've just ordered 2 - (I only need one but if I loose another, again..... )
£9.67 with postage and in all fairness I don't believe we could make them for that.
I am still mystified as to how I have lost one - I mean they are not exactly small - I have checked absolutely everywhere - it must be that ghost that lives in my workshop.

I lose a lot of fault large items on a daily basis...I lost a reciprocating saw for nearly 4 days...it was tucked down the side of the bench for some reason

OK - so the 7/8" UNF nuts arrived - the good news is that they screw happily onto the male thread of the hinge assembly - the bad news is that there is significant axial and radial play - ie: they are somewhat "loose" - uncomfortably loose.
So I'm back to square one.
Does anybody have a 22mm x 1.75 tap that they can run down the "Chinese sourced 22mm x 1.75 nut" that I have if I send it to you?
I am happy to pay and include a self addressed return envelope for the trouble.

No, you carried it in your hand, then put it down somewhere... I have taken to forcing myself not to carry anything in my hand I'm not wanting to carry.
