Thanks for that- I used my M12 die grinder to grind the strips a touch then peel them off. I did still damage 2x of the cells but doesn't really matter as I have a large supply of unused parkside batteries.
For the m18 battery cell removal it was faster to cut all the connections with a cut off wheel.

So all thats left is to await the Nickel strips and spot welder to arrive in a couple of weeks time and ill see how this Parkside cell Milwaukee battery performs. Better than a dead Milwaukee battery thats for sure.
Get a supply of insulating ring thingys.
They go on the end of the cells to prevent the strips shorting on the battery casing.

They also help you id the positive end of the cell when welding them up.
