next model up video above user not holding plasma right
Two days too early mate, try again on Thursday perhaps.Id like one for the van but I can’t find one in the shops near me
the cut 50 will only go up to 12mm cut at severence cut i suspect this model goes to 6mm with 9mm severence cut but im not sure to be honest
cut50 uses pt31 torch like this one does the extra part you dont get with the cut 50 is the wheeled tool like you get with this machine
i think the settings are 30amps
from skotl as there a good guide even for me to use them and have no problems
I set the air at about 65psi and never touch it after that.
12 mm would be at 50A
8mm at 30A
6mm at 20A
3mm at 15A
The CUT50Ps I've seen online seem to use the AG-60 torch (e.g. this one). Most of what I'm likely to cut with a plasma cutter will be either 3 mm or 6 mm mild steel sheet. I'm assuming the CUT50 type would do a cleaner cut on the 6 mm, but I don't know that. I've also got about 10 sheets of 300 × 300 × 10 mm that I picked out of a skip (without a mark on them - amazing what gets chucked out). I've cut one of them in half and used the two halves for "fixture plates" on the milling machine for some rather awkward to hold bits I needed to mill. Cutting them in half was a bit of a challenge (bandsaw from each side and then join the cuts together with an angle grinder) so if I could get a plasma cutter that could do a severance cut (regardless of how shabby the result was) then that would be a very nice-to-have feature. Not catastrophic if it can't do it though.
guide for cut50:
12 mm would be at 50A
Exactly my think when buying at that priceid buy it just for the 3 year warranty you get with them
the plasma costs nothing if it goes faulty in those 3 years and you get use of it
If you want one you need to get yourselves down there now!
Just beat the crowds
