I was contemplating taking a ride down to Lidl to see if I could snag one this evening, but didn't because I didn't think they'd be putting them on the shelves until after closing. Wish I had now.

I saw this thread at 9.25, my nearest store closes at 9.00 but the one in Waltham Abbey was open until 10.00, put trousers back on, found key to wife's car, mine are all under lock and key, drove like a ****, they had two left, cost me £120.00, 80.00 for the cutter, £15.00 for the flowers, 14th soon! , £5.00 for the screwdriver set and £20.00 for petrol, why do they always run on empty! they only had three to start with, one left at 9.50, maybe the Waltham cross has some, or Tottenham if you have a passport,

the till girl told me the specials are always put out late on Wednesday...………. and they want to sell them, when they are gone etc.

Called into my local store just before closing time & they were filling the shelves with Thursdays items. I asked the guy if the plasma cutter had come in & he snapped back 'They have but you can't buy one until tomorrow!' So I'll have to be waiting for them to open at 8am. Good news is that they had a large pallet of them so enough for everyone!

Popped to the 'local' store around half nine last night, and saw a pallet loaded up with tools. Asked if I could have one, but the chap said he's not allowed to put them out before ten and even if he could, they wouldn't scan. In fairness, he was decent about it and apologised.

Shot off to the next 'local' store and saw a young lady putting drills on a shelf. Asked if she any plasma cutters, and if so, could I have one. Turned out she was Polish and really helpful, so she asked me to point out what they looked like (they are inside brown boxes and I'm not sure she knew what I was after). If there was one on the pallet she said she'd check if it would scan, if it did I could have it. There was one half way down a load of boxes on a sealed pallet, so she just cut the 'cling film', pulled the box out while I lifted the weight off, took it to the till and scanned it. It scanned, so I promptly paid and disappeared into the night Nice young lady, great service, and hope the cutter is just as good

6 left! Pretty amazing! Would be interesting to know what stock they hold for each store with offers like this Only seemed there were about half a dozen on the pallet at the store I got mine from last night, and it's a pretty big store!

There were 3 in Knaresborough at 8am, I turned up early and formed an orderly queue of one..

Three of us waiting at Blackwater (Camberley), five out the door in as many minutes - they had 20 delivered!
Also, pencil air grinders, 12.99 - I now have one of those too. And two pain au chocolate for second breakfast
