when i bough my old colchecter triumph i intended to remove the three phase motor and fit a single phase one. this never transpired so now I am refitting the original three phase motor and fitting an inverter.
Seems pretty simple but I took the three wires off the motor and now (a year later) I don't know which of the four terminlas to put the three leads on.
I have enclosed some pictures.
one showing the motor plate
one showing the 4 terminals and 3 red leads
one showing the four leads i need to put in the inverter.
The wires ito the inverter are straight forward i imgine, but what happens to the earth? they'll be live, neutral and earth (13 amp) from the mains into the inverter, then 3 phases and a live from the inverter to the lathe? correct? theres no earth going to the motor so presumably this drops off at the lathe switch.
any help would be great.
