mark the 6 ends up e.g. 1.2.3.etc. put meter on wire 1 then find another end that gives a reading make a note of the number, repeat until all ends identified. You have now found the 3 coils/windings, now remark them U1 U2 V1 etc and follow the drawing posted.
Wired thd motor in delta as instructed.
Inverter arrived today (cheers dr nik)
Wired it up and it works, however motor got pretty hot pretty quick and only ran very slowly.
I believe I programmed it correctly.
Any ideas what I may have missed?
excellent news so far,
Delta will give you the option of running the motor at almost twice its rated speed, EG: 1425 can be pushed up to almost 2850, depends if you are running an exterior "POT" for speed control, or using the buttons on the panel face, so check you have set it at 50 cycles, this will give you the normal rated output and at 50cycles the motor should be running at manufacturers rating, 1425, or 2850, any thing more than 50 cycles and the motor is going faster than what it was rated for, just a thought.
Got the motor wired out of phase, so presumably it was down a phase. Now it's running well 50hz 1400 rpm etc
Now, what cable should I run between the inverter and the motor? CY? Any idea what diameter?
