well, I dont see any chance of getting new seals, so I guess itll just have to survive? and one day swap the engine when it finally gives up

I like the 372 tbh, if I put another engine in itd be a diesel, running at lower rpm's, you mean the plug on the side or the two small wire output feed?

Some of them came with a 110v dc power tool outlet, mine didn't but i've located the wiring inside the control box to add it. I wanted to know how many watts this output rated for.

I got the dc output 110 socket all wired up, it will run my Makita chop saw, 1650w no problem at all...

I also fitted a 200a 1600v rectifier pack inside the top box, my mighty midget now had dc output as well as ac

wont run speed controlled drills or stuff though, only fixed speed, universal motors, and lighting

so guys I think I found the reason why my welder was asking for choke.... I cleaned it out when I first used it, but all the rust in the fuel tank found their way in... and this is the result! there was alot in it!
cleaned out the carb, and then cleaned out the tank best I could, now it runs great, no choke needed, you can see how much I collected, that was before I did the fuel tank!!

as I was doing this, I found there is a small second "jet"? that exits past the throttle, and is controlled by a small screw adjustment, not sure what its for? I think it decided how much fuel is delivered, but adjusting it didnt make a huge difference?

Glad you have it working well. Mine still needs 1/2 choke or it leans out too much. I also don't think either of my 2 carburettors have that other screw. I suspect it is a slow running mixture screw.

arent they all the same carb?? still running well, going for some 5mm rods to see what she can do, just done some 4mm at 160 and for the first time the slag came off my itself in a curl! was chuffed

on another note, got some rods, they are old "imperial" some are hardtrode, some are ultrode apparently these are hard facing and "strong"

also got some bronze rods? what are these for?

Mine is the older engine remember so I suspect has an earlier design of carb. I must say these do have a sweet arc, smooth and powerful.

There's one the same but smaller on a 1940's British Seagull outboard I have.

mine says bing on it.. still running well, 5mm rods at 190 and it sounded exactly the same as 3.2 @115, didnt give a toss, seems like it could do 250,
