My wife had a Covid jab appointment at a local pharmacy yesterday and I drove there with her, she rang me from inside saying they were doing walk ins so I went in and we both came out at the same time. I had looked online and my first available local appointment was 26th October so it was a win for me. I have had Covid twice and anything that reduces the effects or prevents it is welcome here.

I've been feeling rough for a week or so, nothing bad but just a bit off colour. I've tested negative twice, maybe it's one of those old fashioned colds

Same myself last week, felt absolutely ****, two negative tests though. Guess I had a cold.

Took me mum 92 for the covid yesterday, asked if I was a carer, said sort of, they booked me there and then, said do you want flu & covid at same time, why not!

I’ve had bad bouts of flu before that properly knock you out for 4or5 days and take a couple of weeks to get over.
I had Delta variant Covid and I didn’t get out of bed for 2 weeks, couldn’t walk and talk at the same time for 6 months and took well over a year to fully recover
It’s not Flu

That’s what it was like for me in xmas’19 when I caught it . I was so useless I lost the contract that made my business viable.
I think being man made is why it’s so genetically variable. Didn’t even make my youngest daughter fart, nothing . Eldest lost taste for six months . Couldn’t tell with the Mrs, maybe slightly grumpier

My dad's first memory was at the age of three, coming round in an isolation ward with polio. He recovered with no lasting issues.

Vaccines saved milions of lifes , our body can fight covid but doctors still cannot explain how thousands of young persons died in 2020 while the first wave was rising , without any appearant reason . I remember I was watching tv while we were in lockdown , specialists talking about all those boys and girls with completely burned lungs . So there is still something unknown about this thing .

Anyway you can have a different point of view , but for sure we all agree on the fact that China won't pay any sort of bill for what happened ( from hiding virus pandemic till it exploded to worldwide level , to hiding labs tests results , secreting infos and denying labs access to UN and ONU experts).
This is really unfair .

That’s because contagion was essentially the presentation given to the WHO about the next big risk to humans.
And turned into a film.
Set in the US so you have to add the total anarchy bit in but apart from that it wasn’t written as a story, it was just the WHO presentation by a leading group of Epidemiologists

That would explain some of the more prescient points like "the only defense without a vaccine is 10ft social distancing"

Yes it was terrible i agree, just as terrible as the unexplained deaths and illnesses post covid from vaccinations...lets both leave it at that,we have had our opinions detailed.

How would it be better to stay here and talk about beer , motorcycles , football , girls... and not about this ******* damn virus , like it has never happened.
Not complaining at all who started the topic , just wondering about how bad this situation has been , we will remember it for decades .
