I had covid after being vaccinated, the symptoms then were not bad at all for me, not much worse than a cold.
My wife got it last weekend from my son and I got it a few days later, this time round the symptoms are much worse, I’ve just sat about for 3 days doing the basic minimum, went out this morning and did some work in the garage and came in at lunchtime, still feeling worn out.
Snotty, dizziness, really sore throat, muscular pain, headaches, all at the same time, oh and no taste or smell

I think with this latest strain even people i know who are vaccinated are much the same. I don't think there's any getting away from it, you just gotta get through it. Thankfully all lung issues seem to be minimal now.

Wifey and I have just come back from a few days in Durham. I started to feel chilly and hot at the same time on the drive back and last night both of us felt terrible. The headache is the worst thing but the real problem is that tea tastes horrible
Don't know if it's COVID but got some test kits coming in the post.

About a week ago, spouse and I got the latest 2023-24 Moderna monovalent Covid shot, a flu shot, and an RSV shot all at the same time. The pharmacist said getting all three at once could make some people feel quite sick, but it didn't bother us, other than sore shoulders for a day or so.

We both had Covid earlier in the year (I think it was in April). We had both tested positive on repeated lateral flow tests. Fortunately (probably due to being vaccinated), it was very mild for both of us. I had a cough that lasted about 24 hours, and no other symptoms. Wife felt like she had a mild cold for a few days. Just about everyone in our social sphere (mostly ancient fossils like us) has been Covid vaccinated, and I don't know of any of those people who have had any problems with the vaccinations. YMMV of course.

We felt crap for a couple of days but are starting to feel better already. At least my cuppa is drinkable again
We have had all the shots, I hate to think what it would have been like without.

Looks like its starting to get rife again judging by the number of you on this thread with recent corvid!

Was hoping to get to town last Friday, did a test - still showing positive but just the faintest of lines.

Generally feeling ok with just an odd bout of coughing & some nasal congestion.

Under pressure to get the bathroom finished I finally gave in to let my BIL paint the ceiling. Actually didn't mind too much, I'm still a bit wobbly on my feet & wasn't looking forward to balancing on some steps.

BIL was coming up Tuesday to paint plus the plumber was coming to fit an immersion heater. Tested myself again Tuesday morning to see if I had to stay isolated.

Yeah!! This meant I could mix with other people again!

I helped my BIL with some of the painting, it was great to feel useful again! Later on I even managed to drop by our Men's Shed, it felt strange driving again. Didn't do much apart from chat, drink tea & watch the guys making a start on Xmas stuff. Was chatting to a friend who has just got over corvid too & he suffered most of the same issues as me. He couldn't pee either, for 2 days & when he eventually went he peed constantly for 5 minutes, thought it would never stop!

Unfortunately today I was so tired I spent most of it in bed, I will really have to learn to pace myself.

Double jabbed on Friday. The Covid jab was the new one covering the new variants apparently. Had a sore throat on Sunday (which had gone in a couple of days) and now I have symptoms of a bad cold. Two negative Covid tests mean I probably do have just have a cold, no doubt caught at the surgery!

Fed up with it now.
Wifey has just spoke to her son, he went to a wedding in Norfolk at the weekend, the bride had COVID and knew it but still went ahead. Attendees all infected

Middle of last week had a bit of a sore throat, thought nothing of it.
Friday at work was feeling a bit ropey early Saturday morning woke in bed was struggling to breathe, nasal congestion and having coughing fits. Started to shape up on Wednesday but still occasional coughing fits.

Just a note here, the guy that brought it into work, and that put me 5 days in the hospital and 3 months off in re-hab, was given 5 days off without pay as a reprimand for not staying home.
AFAIC, he should have gotten a month off.

Do you have one of those fingerclip Pulse oximeters ? Aldi's sells them for under $15.
Might want to keep checking yourself hourly.

Blood clots in the lungs & heart.

Mine followed pretty much the same as Morris, loss of taste came after a few days, and then all hell broke loose.
When I hit 85% I drove myself to the ER.

It's what the doctors use to keep an eye on the infection, 5 days in there, and constant monitoring with one wired to the central nurses station.

And they suggest them to people to have on hand at home.

It's irrelevant anyway, I don't have one and I won't be getting one. I can scare myself with a medical dictionary without extra equipment.
