Had both jabs last Saturday. Fingers crossed because I had both last year and they were both utter persons who dispense drinks and knocked me for six.
Well of course it hasn’t actually been eradicated but cases were incredibly low due to Covid measures , now the measures are gone it has come back, as to how many cases of coronavirus are about no one really knows as there is no longer a working test programSorry to burst your bubble mate, but flu has not been “eradicated”…. A vast number of supposed covid infections are flu , but it’s trendy to jump on the covid bandwagon, as suggested by our media…![]()
Bugger![]()
so true.ive had 2 jabs . not having any more and never had a flue jabmakes me laugh when people say ive had the flue 90 percent havent just had a bad cold
you wouldnt be standing if you had the flue . only ever had it once
Considering the severity of this virus on the elderly you would have thought tour operators would have safe guards in place,as in
train their staff to exclude a passenger that’s coughing their guts out.

I don't think so mate.If you didn't have a test for it, you'd just call it...
... The flu![]()
strange you say that ...both my elbows are in pain for no apparent reasonThey must have run out of bricks as the whole body pain has eased today.
Instead I have more specific pain. Basically anywhere I have previously suffered severe pain/trauma is sore again, only this time the pain level is turned up to 11!
So we have kidney pain (had kidney stones), neck pain (RTA), left knee (same RTA), left wrist (broken) plus random bouts of neuralgia.
I've had flu before but this is on another level, so anyone comparing it to flu is talking rubbish.
Damn that was a short but hard read mate, I really feel for you. I don’t think I will be having another jab. Had two dvt (blood clots) since covid. Is it covid or the jab that brought them on, or just getting older and wfh? Who knows?Well I've not had Covid but the first Astra Zeneca jab, nearly killed me; I had a seizure and was unconscious for four days with a DNR on my notes. Had umpteen scans and a lumber puncture, none of which I can remember. The hospital couldn't find any cause for the seizure, other than a reaction to the jab. A six month driving ban followed - which due to administrative incompetence at the hospital and the DVLA, became ten months. During this time my wife was diagnosed with a Stage 3 cancer, bravely fought it but lost the battle.
I had the subsequent Pfizer jabs because I couldn't risk catching it and passing it onto her, who, having had her spleen removed had very little resistance to infection.
Had she not been alive when I had the first jab, I'd have likely died from the seizure.
I live alone now, do I have another jab...? After 49 years married being without her is a pretty miserable existence, so just how bothered am I about the potential outcome of not having it?
I've been having all sorts of nightmares and recurring dreams this week. Very odd.Today I woke up feeling a lot better, pain mostly gone apart from my neck, it has a really tender spot that feels like someone thumped me with a hammer! Even managed to get outside today & clear out the van into the workshop. My Mum felt a lot better yesterday but is back to feeling bad today, so this improvement might only be temporary.
On the other hand last night was the weirdest yet. I had severe cramps in both my lower legs, same as I get if I take statins. No amount of stretching or massage could get rid of it. After a few hours of rolling around I fell into a sort of semi-sleep state. I dreamed/imagined that the cramps were caused by a virus infection within the program that controls my legs.I need to tell you now that I have perfectly normal legs controlled by my brain, not a computer (I told you it was weird).
I managed to narrow the search down to a few folders but I was afraid that if I deleted the wrong folder my legs would no longer work! After a lot of deliberation I picked a folder & deleted it & then tentatively got out of bed & stood up to see if my legs were still working!
At this stage I woke up & found myself standing beside the bed. After a few seconds I realised why I was standing there, called myself an idiot (ok, the actual words were 'you stupid fecker') and got back into bed. Fell asleep quickly only to start dreaming the same crap again! Don't think I went as far as 'testing' my legs again, I can't really remember!![]()
