I've been burned by a fake Li-ion Makita battery, just yesterday. Wouldn't take a charge and it had only been used a few times.
It was a couple of years old and I'd left it too long between charges. Even so, I felt a bit short-changed.
While it worked, it was impressive enough, though. Far better than the NiMHs I'd been using.
Think I'll have to bite the bullet and buy the real thing.

It was using an adapter for 14.4V Li-ion to NiMH fit, but those 14.4V Li-Ion batteries are increasingly rare now.
Just bought another adapter that drops an 18V to 14, and from there I'll buy genuine batts.

I've used my new Milwaukee M12 impact wrench today and I must say I nearly lobbed it up the road when it wouldn't budge the wheel nuts on the Mini!
Then I thought 'is it charged'?
Nope
An hour on charge and it wizzed off the wheel nuts on the Mini and the missus HRV on level 2 of 3
Did the front brakes on the HRV and there's a useful function where it only just nips the nut up read for the torque wrench.

That's number 4 (the nut picture)? The written instructions were rubbish - kinda pictoral and clearly aimed at those who can't read.

I bought one of the fakita high torque wrenches from Aliexpress.

Very impressed by this tool. The driveshaft nuts on the van are torqued to over 300 Nm. It loosens them off without a bother. You just have to be careful when tightening as it would be easy to wring off a nut.

You do need a 4 or 5 Ah battery to get the best peperformance.

Got the DTW700 copy yesterday, didn't even flinch on the wheel nuts of my pickup - it did hilariously rattle a good amount of its rubber coatings off and the name plate immediately. Honestly it feels very solid.

Turning my workshop upside down for the property move i have been finding stuff i forgot i had..this is one of them, old American made snap on and i remember it being a strong gun too...ni cad batterys are dead so have orderd a couple of new li-on batterys as still have the charger, handy for the truck for a fast wheel change on hard shoulder.

Only tried the Gisam Fakita Ugga Dugga once, to undo/remove the 5x 19mm headed wheel bolts on my Renault Master Camper.
Spun them off instantly. The auto-stop to stop the item being spun clean off is a neat feature as well.
(OK 19mm lug nuts shouldn't be a big challenge perhaps - but it's the only gun I've had that will).
I've only got the Fakita batteries it came with, with the Mickey Mouse slow charger socket in the middle - but I have two batts & I'm not using it loads, so hopefully not an issue.

Here's an image @Memmeddu so you can see, it looks like I've dropped it but I haven't at all - just used the gun once on a wheel nut.

To confirm though for others in this thread, the performance of the gun itself exceeded expectations, it's ridiculous on a wheel nut - like it wasn't even tight.

You're underestimating the thing...
We have a Citroen jumper at work essentially the same truck
Wheel bolts have to be tightened at roughly 180Nm.
Those clones are actually pretty good as I've already said numerous times but please switch to Makita batteries.
Those they gave with are pure garbage...
They need several hours to recharge (4 to 5 hours) Wich is a PITA cause you really don't want to keep them charging unattended.
And if you need charged batteries you can't really wait 9 hours .
They cut off very frequently they don't run the tools at their maximum output .
Just a dog biting his tail .

I don't think it can cause it's actually a Milwaukee 12V nicd battery and charger it uses.
I'd rather make an adapter for using other 12V 10.8V li Lion batteries

If it doesn't say it does li ion on the charger don't try it. The results can be explosive!
