I'm Cured ....... Lidl's

I bought the little parkside inverter welder the other month and it's actually really good for a cheap fluxcore set. Does have a design flaw where the spool holder keeps falling off though, it's already been open twice and isn't even out of warranty yet (though it probably is now) i've done car body with it and all sorts.

Latest one has a 3year warranty so check you still got your receipt...

I tried to get one at the weekend, none in my 3 local stores, wish they had an online store

Let me tell you what not to buy in Lidl: The Pork pie,very rarely do I throw food away but it was truly auful.

My wife picked up vegan pork pies by mistake, they are worse than terrible

I've had a few Lidl, and Aldi, items that have failed / broke over the years during the three year warrantee period and absolutely no problem getting replacements. My tip is staple the receipt to the instructions and put them in a safe place "just in case".

Make sure it's in drawer or somewhere out of the light, I had one fade in the sunlight due the thermal paper it was printed on.

Went in knowing that this shop would likely still have some items and I wanted the pruners to help finish the tree Im doing.

There is one plasma cutter left, and lots of other tools inc. the lidl chainsaws and 12v tools from weeks ago.

PT-31 Torch Upgrade

My Lidl/Parkside plasma came with a short (2.5m) lead. I want to get a longer 5 or 7m lead but stick with the PT31 torch & once I've used up all my consumables I'll upgrade the torch to something better, maybe a SG55. What I want to know can you easily fit a different torch on a lead meant for...

Try a Rabone Chesterman No.64, mm on backside inches on the front side with conventional fractions one edge and ”decimal” fractions the other (1/10, 1/20, …). They go from 6” to 40”, plain steel or rustless.

I bought some breaded Haddock fillets a few weeks ago, bunged one in the air fryer for about 8 minutes and they're done, what I didn't expect was the piece of gristly sinew that I bit down on. I think it was part of the gills or the base of a fin, spat it out and consigned the rest of it to the bin.

ive just bought the 2 set squares and there spot on even there markings

ive also tested them up against another set square and that also says its true so im happy enough

the 2 lengths are 710mm and 400mm the steel is a bit flimsey though

i also picked up 2 sticky measure tapes as well

Even though i'm saving for a Hypertherm plasma for a CNC, Ive Just been to my local lidl to try and grab a Parkside one as i figured it would be handy to have one with a built in compressor for occasional jobs away from home, they had none in stock and when I asked a member of staff he said they only got 4 in and they sold on the first day.

Defeated I left the store with nothing, they make you feel so guilty going through the checkouts empty handed, especially when you are wearing a backpack!

Ah well... on the plus side at least i didn't have to carry it home. (I don't drive)

asking my brother is like banging your head against a brick wall and thats just to borrow it to get another try square made up

i just give up with them as its like on a never never basis but when its the opposite way its always as quick as possible

as goes for sticky tape measures i have a use for both and at 3.00 for both it was worth it otherwise bought on there own its 2.00 each
