I’m not allowed to go shopping, unless I am accompanied by an adult.
My wife sent me out for bread and milk once. I came back with eggs and a lawnmower, I was never allowed to go out again.

now thats some thing i might try go to lidl spend a packet do that a couple times then i wont be asked to go shoping again

ive have aready tryed throwing a few tools in the basket when shes paying and i get moaned at but shes not band me yet so need to try another thing

Couple weeks ago they had a telescopic pole pruning saw and I walked past and now I could use one, they dont have it!

me no not me wehen we go in to lidl or aldi she does the shoping i go round the middle aisle and meet her a bit later on when shes half way through either doing the shopping or talking on her phone depending on what comes first

i used to work in retail been in shops tomuch so will do any thing to get out of it

It is rare that I have any quality complaints in Lidl. I did buy a drill and tap set recently that someone had nicked a couple of taps from and they couldn't have been more helpful when I spoke to them. Maybe it's just the my local branch, although the big superstore was just as accommodating over a parking overstay ransom demand.

Purchased one of their new on the market battery hedge trimmers ( made in China as is most of the Parkside stuff but branded Parkside Germany . Their stuff used to have country of origin printed in the operating instructions ). It was supposed to cut up to 19 mm twigs , it died in a bang & a cloud of smoke three feet along the soft greenery of a leylandii hedge , they refunded me immediately & added it to the dozen or more other failures . Other than that & a set of hex drive titanium coated twist drills none of their other gear has given me any heartache .

I was Ill for a week and they would only refund the purchase price

That happens in almost all supermarkets often its the customers who damage the sealing of the lid either by accident or intent

The lid was properly and fully sealed the problem is the yoguart was made with mouldy fruit peices!

it\s all down to cost....have a few Milwaukee tools......
went to the local dealer asking for a price on a new genuine 18vx5ah battery.....u always have to ask the price of anything here.......
He calmly said oh thats €185 euro's didn't give him chance to add the vat........
wrote sh1te letter to Milwauke but heard nowt.......
so Lidils stuff aint that bad...is it.....??

I never had any Lidl tools and thought they would be sh÷te until I bought a job lot of tools. And some new Parkside 20v stuff was included.

I was going to sell them on until I started using them and actually liked them!

Parkside Performance is the higher level range of tools they do. Brushless etc and in my opinion on par with Milwaukee etc but without the high price tag. My performance selection is growing

Their Parkside Performance drill isn't a patch on the M12 , I was a bit peed off really after hearing all the good reviews.

I bought the little parkside inverter welder the other month and it's actually really good for a cheap fluxcore set. Does have a design flaw where the spool holder keeps falling off though, it's already been open twice and isn't even out of warranty yet (though it probably is now) i've done car body with it and all sorts.

I've got a unused Vernia in imperial if it's any good to you.

I didn't think about using a vernier, maybe because I instinctively pick up a 6" rule for such measurements. Thanks for the kind offer, I will check mine first!
