yes tried thiners ,then solvol didnt touch it , seems wet and dry is the answer.
will hunt through the draw and see what wet and dry I have
A little tip - soak the wet & dry paper overnight or for a few hours before starting, it makes it very 'workable' then.
Aye, wet & dry - I did the lights on th ee60 [heart in mouth time , because to replace the unit from BMW is c £1100 ] and got them from this....

That was about 3 years ago and they're just starting to need a maintenance polish and relacquer now. I aim to get them redone come the better weather.
yamhon, I agree , would like too get mine somewhere near , at the moment cloudy so need to go finer I geuss...
I think the finest I have ever gone with paper is 2500. Dont think I even have any 5k.
But then i do have a machine to mop it.
If you have a drill attachment or something just dont stay in one place for long as you could probably heat and cloud the lense doing that.
