That's only 1/2 HP, I need at least 1 1/2 HP to run all the motors.

Plus its 240V out so you would still need to either replace or mod the main motor.

Doesn't sound too bad to me, I paid £250 for my 3HP a few years back. It's also a TECO. With a bit of thought you can persuade them to run more than one machine (I know it's not recommended but it can be done) - one at a time, obviously, nobody's going to be daft enough to watch over a lathe and a mill at the same time
You must have a hell of a paper round to have that sort of money 'spare'...
Double check that the teco vfd is able supply 420v. As all of the three phase vfd's I've seen change the frequency on the incoming voltage. 240v single to 240v three phase etc.
This only means you need to change the wiring to the motor from star to delta (?). Just check that the motors are dual voltage.
Of you can go the vfd route it may help as you can change the motor speed easily from the vfd. But make sure you don't go high er then what the machine can take.
Of you want to find a plug and play system look for phase converters. I picked up a 4kw transwave for £200 of evil bay of few years ago.

I run one of these Teco inverters on my Bridgeport, plus have 3 phase sockets mounted in the workshop to run other stuff,,its one of their "plug and play" ones so i didn't have to alter all the contacors and bits,,it was a cheaper option than buying 3 seperate vfd for the spindle motor,feed motor(its 3 phase) and coolant plus gives me option to buy more 3 phase gear!

I have 240 out vfds on both my lathes though,,and have it set up for variable frequency so i can get my colchester to go from 7 to 2300 rpm,, love the control of vfd with dc braking and smooth start and stop..

Here's the listing: eBay. Half a line of he description is about the inverter and then he goes off on a tangent about his knackered car lift that it was running.
Upon closer inspection I can see it's only 240 volt output, despite the listing saying 415 volt so I messaged the seller, I said:

thats a bit of a misunderstanding a 3phase supply is 415 volt ,the converters are 240v 3 phase unless u get a 415 volt one and cost a lot more £"£so most people dont genuinly know theres a diffrence

How do I measure the threads then?
I've got a thread gauge now and one of them (I think it was the 14) fits nicely. How do I measure the diameter of the bolts though, i.e. I can put my callipers on them but then what should I round it to and where can I buy imperial bolts from?

Measure the outside diameter of the thread and post it, we'll soon tell you what it is. Or google thread size chart and look for 14tpi and the od.

Don't you young un's get taught anything? Up the road from Suffolk. From my house to my brothers (in lovely Bungay) is 359 miles

Accuscrew sell nice stainless ones
. I'd quite like to use cap head bolts because I think they look nicer but I think the head diameter is massive on the size I'd need. The horiz' spindle drawbar has the thread flattened on one side so it wouldn't hurt to get a nice long bolt to replace that one too.
