I find that for the sake of a couple of quid, oil in the tank is better than running on vapour……
anyone find the price changes much depending on the volume you order?
I always order through boiler juice
we need to move the oil tanks to a temporary spot till we get the heat pumps in
going to pickup a 1000 litre tank from facebook marketplace, ro replace old 2x 1000litre tanks
pretty sure the old steel tanks will start to leak when we move them

I will have-a 2500 litre single skin plastic tank here next week you are welcome too, after Tuesday. Bunded replacement should be fitted by then.
I usually find Youngs NRG cheaper. Haulage distance seems to make a difference as we are fairly rural. But if you take a big quantity, or buy in a village group the lorry does less miles/ time per load, so would logically be a saving.

Oh. I agree. I have a out 1000l in there which leaves room for 2500 more for the winter.

Bought my double skin 2500 of Ebay 11yrs back....sat in field until about 5 yrs ago. When the single skinned one starting cracking. Didn't realised how bad it was until I cut in up.!I'd be buying a 1000 liters if I didn't need a new tank.
We have someone coming over to give us a quote for a new one soon.

Read the rules for a compliant base before they arrive….so you are aware of whats what, before they bend you over! Tank prices are fairly easy to get on line. Prices seem to vary depending on popularity.I'd be buying a 1000 liters if I didn't need a new tank.

I'm pretty clued up on the regs but it is in a bad spot for a compliant tank. I'd do it myself but it's a massive 3000 litre steel tank on 3' block stilts that wobble!
I can't lift it out as there are trees and an overhead power cable in the way.
I'll see if they'll quote for just the removal...
