what the dimension across the vees. its either a t2 or t1

zoro sell cheap tool holders for t2 they fit perfectly and cheaper than poor condition second hand ones

If your going for genuine holders, sell it on and buy a piston type with lots of holders from the far east!

Piston types are crap. Go for the gib type (wedge).

Tracked down the holders I purchased.
I paid £29 now listed at £78 that's a bummer.

I've acquired it , not bought it yet , will get it going first , just working out costs for bits and bobs , got lots of change gears , traveling steady , got spanner for chuck removal, will need four jaw chuck , backplate , fixed steady , was working out tool post , worth keeping this one or getting new ?

Sounds good. Don't worry about the toolpost, you could get a non quick change one, but you'd be in almost the same boat as now, usage wise.

First job is surely to clean and lubricate the ways (with oil!) Adjust gib strips as required and assess the wear.

I've cleaned a little , had a good look around it everything seems ok , once it's wired up will get a better assessment !

RDG holders may have to be altered slightly to fit, I have to on my Rapid tool post, , I bought two, direct from India and the slots were in different positions on each one.
