Half finished projects....come on own up!!!!!!

Garage/workshop.... Dug out 5mx5m hole for the concrete, started chucking in the hardcore and am still needing to get it reasonably level and put the shuttering in..... haven't touched it for a year always something more interesting/ less hassle to do....

Just skim over the artex, we did a few ceilings here and it turned out great.

Take care with the Artex, the older stuff had asbestos in it Asbestos Reinforced Texture finish it stood for, or something like that. The later stuff was ok, I don't know when it stopped containing asbestos.

Dont rely on any extra free time when you retire..I have had less spare time since i retired. I used to think its was an old wives tale but its so damn true you will never work out why...

Here I am when the Mad Max sidecar outfit (need to join the major bits together....) beckons, the chicken house needs a floor, the toilet cistern leaks, the shed needs expanding to make room for the lathe I'm spending hours on ebay looking for, and the neighbour's chainsaw sounds sick so I'll bet he'll be round in the next ten minutes.......then it'll be coffee time, then we'll invite him for lunch, drink some wine, then some more wine........

When people ask me how long it took to settle into retirement I say "about 2 minutes" I tell everyone "it's the best job I ever had, the money's cr@p, but the hours are fantastic" seriously though I'm always finding something to do, never bored, still with just as many outstanding jobs as when I was working

lol CRB, the shed was just a cover to work under, did the job to keep rain off cant build a garage there but got away with it for some reason all gone now though.

Yes loads of unfinished projects. the tractor, the tools for the tractor, the rotovator i got from ebay, the sorting out of my life, and just trying to enjoy my life

Some of my un started let alone unfinished projects...right hand side of pic is mustang GT..middle undercover is 1959 ford 100e...left hand side is Mercedes 300 TD...oh and a hill climb/ rally car up me yard...the list is to long to mention all the other crap I got....

just incase you do, if any are old age mobility projects you'd better move them up the list so you can carry on with the others later on

A lot of the battle with projects is time..because when we want to do a bit at the weekend after a weeks work the ol woman starts and gives us a list of **** to do...or in there case..want doing end of....and money!! Ya save save save and get a nice bundle of doe together and BANG!!! A bill comes in ..she wants something that's far more important than car bits ect...daughter wants money for college....and kiss good bye to that bundle...

This reminds me of something i did a couple of years ago...thought ide play a trick on the wife and i was outside the house with the step ladders,i gave a loud scream and shout like ide fell off them but before ide covered my noggin with tomato ketchup....she runs out the house and see,s me on the floor with my head smashed in and straight away yelped "who the f$%k is going to finnish the kitchen now" in her Loud American voice (she,s a yank) so yea the more you give the more they want.
