Half finished projects....come on own up!!!!!!

I was going to add pics of the above, but it'd get a bit overwhelming and Id have to go sit in a darkened room at the thought of all those long hours, let alone any readers.
So limiting it to the big time sink, house. Its a conversion from a cow barn. Its moved on since this shot (that sticky out bit is rebuilt and now a terrace, couple more rooms inside finished), but its still not finished. I have one more bedroom to build, wire, plumb the last bathroom in. I'm going to get someone in to sort the rendering out as that would turn into a proper putting it off a few decades epic task. Worth noting this isnt a telly style house conversion, where you don some wellies and a clipboard then get a big gang of tradespeople in to do the actual work, its been me and my shadow, aided by a decrepit jcb. Plans, groundworks, dry lining, first fix, heating, final fix, inspections, plastering.

Mobile forge looks interesting, I have a forge conversion half done somewhere around the back of the shed too. Trying to finish a bridgeport cnc conversion before tinkering with it though.

My glass crushing machine - I was going to fit an un-jamming circuit but I'll be de-commissioning it soon as ready crushed glass is so cheap it's not worth making my own.

Single phase conversion on this bad boy.
It was meant to be a winter project, but i am running out of winter and haven't even looked at it.
Not to worry another year older won't hurt it, it's been around for quite a while already.

Started this about 8 years ago in my mums garage but since then i have moved house, built a garage , re lanscaped the garden built a patio, built a new conversion for my conservatory ect. All other projects are finished but because this one is mine only its at the bottom of the pile.

Sandblast cabinet - frame done and sides and back and hopper on but not done the front, and happy using a b&q storage box at mo for blasting.

Firebox for rocket stove - stove is mostly done as need some more angle grinding to remove old paint and the pipework installing in the garage so I can use it !! The firebox will allow more wood to be burnt and not require as much manual input.

Tig rod storage trolley - part of the frame done but not much else.

Understairs WC - toilet in and tiling 90% done but need to build a cabinet to install the sink onto, and then do the taps and paint.

Shed - roof collapsing and bought the sheathing ply to redo it, and had that for a few months.

Plus a few other 'little' jobs around the house :

You know the jobs that you think will take a couple of hours but take you about 2 weeks !!!

the problem with most of the members this site that we are able to do most jobs our selves therefore the to do list becomes endless.the rest of society would just make do with the status quo and so have all the time in the world!

December 22nd last year on the 3rd anniversary of my brother's death I was repositioning some bike parts in the garden that belonged to him and realised I've been moving them from pillar to post for 40 years! is that a long term project?

Half finished '78 Opel Manta with a 5ltr TVR engine and box in been on the go at least 8yrs, my Speed Triple has needed a starter clutch about 5yrs, my Fathers Nimbus hasn't turned a wheel in anger since 1982 and his Wooller engine isn't going anywhere, there's a Stuart turner gas engine in the loft, a couple of R/C aircraft not run since the early 70's, the central heating pipes have needed lagging since I booted it up 15 years ago, there's a transport museum of 5 cars collated over the past 5 years in the drive and a TV sat on the living room floor that's been in bits since before Christmas.

I need a box of round to it's.

Me too many to list loads of stuff like gates to cut down and remake patio to remake loft to finish boarding out
all the veg oil stuff to sort out model helicopter to learn to fly airguns the fish have gone shed needs a clear out etc etc
but too many health problems so any job takes ten times longer
and i do have my round Tuits

Those things always strike me as being another female creation. That last sentence is just pure female scorn, (I would say sarcasm, but few of them seem capable of that subtlety), through and through. Same way as mancave, (even though that seems to have been adopted somewhat by blokes. Mind you, I suppose it is less of a mouthful than saying; "My haven from the SSH" ), is originally another derisive term.

Ok. My Saab 900, bought as a project 2 years ago but turned out to be a lot more work than envisaged. Should have enjoyed it whilst the mot was current, but no, I had to start tinkering and now it's in bits on the drive.

House and garden. Ok, we have done a fair bit on the house...just seems that we never quite finish a room. Decorate and carpet it, but don't change the light fittings. Garden...well, keep doing a bit, but again it's a big project that I'm not sure we have the time or money for.

My worst thing is buying stuff for projects that I never even start, never mind finish. The fabric for reupholstering chairs, the frames to mount prints, books to read. Add to this all the stuff bought because it 'might come in handy' and I have spent a fortune on crap.
