Gti pro lite

Thought I'd give one a try. Was going to spray a mini roof with it this after so gave it a quick check for tightness etc and sprayed a lump of gunwash through it. First thing I noticed was it was blowing air back into the pot as if the aircap was blocked, secondly though it was producing a lovely fan, it was pulsing as if air was passing the gland or loose nozzle. Obviously and fortunately, have the knowledge to know it's not right, needs to go back as I'm not going to strip a brand new gun down and has only had gunwash in it. Anyone had after sales service issues with devilbiss??

Where did you buy it from as they should be your first point of contact not Devilbiss ? It's up to them to sort it for you.

my local supplier of 35 years. They will sort it but its a chunk of money if devilbiss wont exchange for them.

Normally the fluid tip isn't seated right or not tight enough, i had a habit of loosely assembling the guns after use and forgetting to tighten it all up again

Are you using a standard cup or PPS. If it's not the gland seal or the air cap, both of which should be fine for you to check without worrying about warranty the only other thing I can think of is the vent in the paint cup lid.

Obviously I did all the normal checks whilst in the oven. Interestingly, the needle gland on that model is not obvious (as in unscrew the carrier) Anyroadup. Spoke to supplier this morning, no issues, they have ordered me a new one already and will at some stage send the old one back. Me thinks it's not the first one with the issue.eh.

Leak through the front seal.
Quite normal after a while.

Fresh front gland pack sorts it usually.

Didnt read it properly.
I only have original gti guns from circa 20years ago. So speaking of well worn guns.

New gun would take it straight back and strip it with someone watching to validate.

Devilbiss have dispatched a replacement. I suspect a manufacturing issue on a particular batch. It wasn't just a few bubbles, it was akin to when I block the ears on a final rinse through to back pressure it and the pulsing was dramatic

There isn't really much in a gti pro lite, mine gets stripped down and in the gun wash every time I use it.

It is. Good to see proper aftersales. First time with devilbiss as I've always used Iwata and Sagola in the past 40 years.

Found it suited my style best at 40psi. Have you a 110 cap? Worth investing in? I'm doing classic resto, not orange peel replica.

It's supposed to give a glass finish. What pressure do you run yours at?
