I have a T110 cap and yes it is a flatter finish than the TE20 although it's slower, I normally run it around 2 bar which is around the recommended pressure by Devilbiss, that's with a HS clear

I run mine at just over 2 bar, 1.5 turns on the flow and about 0.75 turns on the fan.

I can't make it lay completely smooth but definitely less work to flatten and polish

Absolutely not a chance!! By chance I’ve just been looking at fakes vs real ones and that one is most definitely a fake.

Yeah I can't get one for my old gun that someone borrowed and came back without it.

How did they loose that? It’s not like an aircap is a small part. That’s one thing I wouldn’t lend to anyone

has anyone tried one of these fakes to see if they where any good? for the price it might turn out to be good for hobby painting. probably a damn sight better than my worn out cheap guns.

Yes, I've got a couple of copies, they do work but aren't the same quality as the original, they are heavy, up by around 200g and the air caps aren't as good as the original, in fact the caps are all the same regardless of what is written on them and somewhere around a HV25

I'll give that a try, are you moving really fast with those settings?

standard wing width( the green escort for example) takes me about a second per pass at about 4 to 5"distance. One thing I will say though is my regulator @40 psi is on the output of my devilbiss airfed so there will be a little pressure drop by the time the air reaches the gun. Not sure how much though.

I normally always keep mine on full fan with fluid between 2 and 3 depending on what i am doing, tip size, cap etc, I'm mainly doing motorcycle stuff

I don't have anything useful to share other than looking at the Escort wing I can't see how any adjustment could make that better.

With the exception of maybe a T110 but yes, I think I've got the settings about right. If I drop the pressure down to 2 bar I get a much smaller fan. I therefore set the fan open, choose my fluid speed and then adjust everything with the air flow. Unconventional. Maybe. Works for me though
