Gti pro lite

As before I’m not a professional, I painted the cab on my lorry with direct gloss in April 2014, it’s been parked outside for most of the time since. It was painted using a GTI pro with a T110 aircap. I expect the surface prep could have been better



The above picture was taken Tuesday, this has had no work done to it after spraying so I was happy with the finish.

This is direct gloss, TE20 cap at 2 bar, first coat was full fan 2 1/2 turns on fluid, 2nd coat same but 3 turns out , the finish is pretty flat which of course is not always what you want

That looks really nice, what brand and range of direct gloss is that?

It's only a cheap one from Nuagain paints, about £28.00 for 2 litres, mixed 2 to 1 with activator, splash of thinners depending on the gun, painter, conditions, if you want a bit more bling you can add 20% clear but it not normally necessary

Well I bought me a 110 cap. Had to slow down quite a bit but nice result. Very pleased.

That looks very good.

I note from another thread that you used spray filler. Is that because the bonnet had some damage?

Quite a bit. There were dents and one or two ripples. Being black, it would show the slightest imperfections so on with the liquid filler.

Starting to get to grips with my gti pro lite, wound in inlet pressure up to 40psi, full fan and 1.75 turns.

Not perfectly smooth but really happy especially as the burner on the booth was broken so I was spraying in 11 degrees C temps
