Oh you didn't buy the "furick" adapter did you?On my WP17 Flexi. I bought the Adapter. Good thing is, the adapter for the furick cup also takes the wp20 cups i had been using with the WP17 Gas Lens Kit.

All that is, is a stubby gas lens that can be bought from ck for £5-£7.
The furick one is seriously deceptive making you believe its specific to there cups and charge over £20 a piece for them.
That lot I assume you paid eBay prices for. £80?? Speak with a ck agent and get some stubby lenses ordered cos no doubt you'll reck the furick one as they don't last as long on gas cooled set ups.
Tbf it's an easy mistake to make and certainly not your fault. It's a very misleading thing because they make out that you need this so called adapter for £28 to use the cups and it's only when it turns up you see that £28 adapter is exactly the same as a £7 stubby lens with an O ring. My mate made the same call so you ain't the only one. At least now you know you can change it a lot cheaper.i did...Not until it got here i realised it was the same as my current stubby lens with an O-Ring recess machined into it.

The O rings will last 10 times longer on a wc torch because the head stays cold. Gas cooled torches get red hot quick. They sent me 7 o-rings (One on the lens, 6 in a sealed bag). Didnt know they eat them that quick!
I was playing today, i removed the o-ring when i swapped the FUPA for a Standard number 8 for when i was doing some ally. I take it that was a good call on my part?
If that's what your looking for you'll get that through a no7 giz. Heat input (or lack of it) plays a bigger part in getting a weld to look colourful in heat tint. Take a ganders at some of @Paul. s stuff before he cleans it up. Different industry mind so he won't be leaving them like that but the point is you don't need spendy cups and big gas volumes to get it you just need to know how to weld stainless. Keep your big cup for Ti jobs. Do afew of those and it will soon pay for itself.
