I think that is a good explanation for your version (33?) the stripped down French or Swiss horologist's one I linked to shows the weight, that one also has the same base as mine with no aperture at the rear.Your mill looks very at home on that stand.
I may have had a lightbulb motor regarding the counter balance for the table. The aperture in the bottom rear - I don't think its a motor in the picture at #82 - I suspect its a spring coil for the counterbalance, a bit like a drill press. Then your wire would attach to a drum on that unit, rather than a weight? If it were a motor, it would have no way to connect to the pulley frame which can be see to the rear.
