Can't see how that would have made any difference as the front left was ok and there was plenty of slack hose on the wheel gun. Perhaps the wheel gun man didn't know how to move from his designated spot! IMHO it was very wrong of Mr Wolff to even suggest it was Bottas' fault! Just image if it happened to Sir Lewis of Hamilton's wheel......................................................................................

Maybe, but nothing as catastrophic as this one, and an ill timed and unnecessary comment when Bottas is getting a lot of negative press about his future. Of course, that's just my opinion

I liked the idea muted a few years ago.
If you won that year, you could not take place the following year.
So on the third year you again you had to prove you had the skill to win.
Not just luck, team orders and a better set up car.

He's not that far off the mark to make the difference, and if that was the case please explain how the three other wheelmen managed ok! As you can see in the picture, there is plenty of 'slack' on the air hose and by Wolff's own admission, the front right wheelman was the fittest and best of them all. Surely then he would have been able to adjust his stance by a few mm to line his gun up correctly!
IMHO, it should not be about blame and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall blame being directed at the wheelman, but as a respected team principal and someone who should have known better, Wolff did not have to make the point about Bottas after the race, as most people that watched it had put it down to a 'pit stop incident'!

A few mm? the front left was ~150mm or so off to the side, he had to move to reposition relative to the car, and get the wheel on and off in 2 seconds. So yes, bottas deserves as much of the blame as the wheel gun guy, and the engineers who are hastily revising the wheelnut to stop it happening again as well.

You jumped on saying Sir Hamilton wouldn't get the same treatment (he has, did, and even held his hands up to screwing up his marks himself more than once), but we can't do that Bottas because....some sort of weird chip on shoulder about Lewis. Okay.

Haven.t Mercedes agreed to let Jack Russell drive the car on a trial basis in 2022 season, Toto has already said he wants Jack Russell in the car.

They have, that was one of the reason Hamilton got all cry baby about.
