...mainly because there's barely any casting foundries left in the UK, and those who are left don't seem to really know what they're doing, if Pressbrake's experiences are anything like the normJCB is a local company to me. They now get a lot of their castings done in China. Various tests are done, such as X ray, to determine if the parts is suitable for use / further machining. There is quite a high number of rejects however it is still far cheaper that having the casting done either in UK or the EU.
