We fitted the Temu dash cam, surprisingly the videos were pretty clear. Clear enough to read an oncoming reg plate. The rear view camera is absolutely useless.

Its nextbase fitted in our Rav 4. Seems ok but gadgets not my thing really. But really annoying when the sticky is no longer sticky after the hot sun I think!

I 'm led to believe the gals used Camp coffee or home made caramelised sugar to the same colour diluted in hot water , left to evaporate for a fortnight, then apply it with a fine pig's hair brush.

For a tan it was gravy browning, tea bags and I guess camp coffee would do it, to create a stocking seam it was an eyeliner/eyebrow pencil.

That is annoying and it happens.

I can't remember if it was these forums or another site but it surprised me how many were cursing replacement sticky pads because they had failed in a short time and these apparently were quality replacements.

I'm convinced most aren't applying them correctly.

It ain't just clean, peel and stick.

To actually make an "on topic" post:
I have a nextbase 622 in the LC.

It's connected to one of the standard "cig lighter" power sockets which turn on+off with the ignition

It starts to record when powered on, or detects movement, and switches off about 30s after power off.

I got it as a "return/refurbished" from nextbase - Amazon, I think. (Next door neighbour ordered it, but changed car to one with a built-in camera, so I bought it off him still wrapped)

I'm very happy with the quality - I plan to upload the footage to YT when I do any green Laning etc.

Agree with the comment about quality SD cards - it didn't come with one, and I bought a ?128Gb? one (from Asda, but a "brand", not their own-brand).
It will hold at least 4hrs of footage, probably more.

My sisters husband is an avid cyclist, fell off, so driving himself to A and E after the off, bike on the roof did similar under the car park height restriction…broken hand and broken fancy carbon bike. Dash cam only got the bad language.

But we got 4 pages out of it, found out about using gravy to dye your legs, found out that @Danez isn't very good with car parks, and learned that we dont know much about dash cams, so it was a nice diversion from all the normal welding chat.
