Just the tig and 800 quid bit thats dissapeared
Matt had a look and what he thought was a dc machine was an ac/dc machine, which is probably a bit to dear for my buget.
The miller seems like a nice machine for a nice price (empire welding) and I would buy it to test if my MCB can handle it, but return shipping stuff from the netherlands ain't free. The rated input amperage of the Miller at 160A is 22A, though I'll probably never use a setting that high. The Lorch manages 180A on a 16A slow fuse, so I don't know what the Miller does with the extra imput amps.
So not to be whiny but, what machines work on 16A
I'm not gonna pull the trigger on €300 worth of peripherals (Argon tanks etc.) untill I find a welder with a reasonable chance of working in my house.
