), saved about £50. It cuts straight and it’s maybe half to two thirds the weight of my Evo 355 cold cut saw, and as mentioned is a lot quieter. So it’s a lot more portable and a lot less sweeping up after as the chips don’t go everywhere.The Evo chipped some teeth so needs a new blade at £80odd,

I bought the Scheppach portable bandsaw, with its own base.

That looks identical to the Aldi Workzone one I have which has developed a clunking blade join to be looked at later
