Yeah sorry slim_boy I will have some mock up pictures soon.
It's just a slab of joined together wood for a coffee table and all the mechanisms from a rat trap added to it.
I dunno what I'm doing for the base yet but I do like an idea of wheels.

I rebate out area for the copper to sit.
Wells drilled for the fake rivets and holes to plug through.

Brilliant work on the fake rivets! How did you form them? 'Blob' of weld then filed?

I took stems out of alloy rivets and peened them over on the under side.

I'm thinking of loving up this pallet box for the base.

Forever and a day it took to file out the holes to accept the elbows.

and to sand down the plugs.

Into holes go brass.
They will pop when the alloy is blackened.

After a little tweaking it's glued together.
None of these welds are seen but I will blend in.
