some are good at the job which is what one would expect at least when youd be handing it in to a dealer.both our local saw shops use the electric sharpeners and if you put your saw in for a service they sharpen the chain using them. I use files when I'm out cutting but cant say I've ever had and probs after having a chain sharpened by machine.
my local dealer dosent take any chances when it comes to sharpening the chain in the grinder....
yrs ago, the first and last time i dropped two chains off to be sharpened at my dealers place that were re sharped by me about 3 times with the file from new i got back two chains that had about 30% left on them.
i stood for a right while having it out with him that they couldnt be my chains because the ones i dropped off were near new...
but they were mine..........
