It's considerably dirtier in real life and I wonder if it benefit from a service kit?
Thank you. What normally comes in a service kit for a compressor?Run it & see how it fares. If it's running fine, leave it be, for the time being. An oil change would be no bad thing though, & drain the water from the tank. There'll likely be some in there.
That is a very valid point sirWhich hole? If you mean the dark one at the bottom then yes. How else is the air going to get to the receiver
Thanks mate, I think the best thing is to go to a pneumatic local, I can take it with me then. Is there any special thread paste/lock I should use, cautious dealing with compressed air etc.
Great, thanks, wasn't sure if some special paste was required.I use this stuff though I bought a single roll, can’t remember where I got it.

Thanks Joe Joepro, it's only for smart/spot repairs so should be fine. Need a new NRV 1st!Spraying with a 50L compressor is going to be frustrating at best.
Do also remember to add a water trap some distance from the compressor itself to be effective. All compressors will output moist air and you do not want to be spraying paint with water contamination.
