Take it with you....I would like to visit Vietnam, but wouldn't like the dog to stop in kennels for three or four weeks.

Or even better, take off the rear tilt and put a detachable camper body on, leave it on legs at the site and go play out in the 101 without a giant growth on it, or sleep in it in situ. Come home, drop the legs, put the 101 back to non camper config. This is actually on my things I'd like to do list...Rip off the compressors, welders etc., on the back of your 101. Slap a floor, roof and bed on the back and join us in August.
You've been up to bits of Scotland but you haven't seen the good bits yet. Don't whine about driving it, shove it on a trailer and put it behind a Range Rover and leave the trailer and RR at our place in the Highlands and carry on in the 101.
I poked my head into the Canadian Lancaster this week, the only one you can book a ride in. Bookings for this year sold out in an hour, next year's come on sale in Nov, around £2k probably.Nearest to me at Sywell, is just short of 3k for 25mins air time
There is a small outfit in Haverfordwest building and selling kit STOLs, I forget the name but the wife knows them well, she was an African chiefs daughter, he's a clever Englishman. (Actually, they are both very clever and nice people). Googled them...Never had a so called bucket list, but so far, I have acquired and done most of the things I wanted to. Before my time is up, I would like to travel by motorcycle again, revisiting some of my favourite places in the USA. It would be impractical with all the red tape and expense involved here in the UK, but if I lived overseas again, I would buy a kit and build a short take off and landing bush plane; a Zenith 701 model. Its been on my mind for many years, but life got in the way; and by selling up to move here to Wales, I no longer have the hanger size barn to build it in.
ive done loop the loop in fixed wing gliders whipstalls and tight 360 turns on hanglider loosing 200 foot per turn but the ultimate was on a paraglider on holiday in turkey . went up the mountain 6000 foot and had a tandem flight on a paraglider. the guy asked how i wanted itwhat is available now last time i looked was about £7000 plus for the full long flight

I don't think I could do proper long haul anymore. Was fine when I was younger but I enjoy flying less and less as I've aged. Places I would quite like to visit (not bucket list-like) like Aus and South America are now very unlikely because the flying would take the shine off the experience.I went to India and Nepal in my late teens, twice, second time took my father with me.
Glad I did it then, don't think I could cope with the heat anymore.
Certainly was an eye opening experience, I'd recommend to anyone.

I'd like to go the states and buy a 50's F100 pickup off the small ads and road trip it the container port, see some sights, have some fun and roadside fixes and wave goodbye, and hello at the port here when it follows me back.
Ive been the states a few times for work, but its always fly in, do the work thing then fly out at best a day trip somewhere but with no op for fun or the like.
Thanks fred, but for a bucket list car I'm picky, it has to be 50's ford pickup not the later 60's bodystyle, or a 50's tri five chevy eg a bellair or something. They have to be unmodified because modified cars wont past import registration afterwards and pre 1960 makes everything simpler, but they can be beaten to death on their last legs.
Yeah, i'm interested to see how it sits in 5/10 years.. or at least post war.
Would agree with you there.A bit Like taking your own lunch.
Both literally and metaphorically! However, I had 3 cups of coffee while we were waiting for our booking time. And a sign at the entrance to the cave mentioned there is no toilet access for approx 3 hours once you have started the climb.
So I was kinda relieved actually.![]()
Unusual and yet understandable at the same timeI've only one left now and that's to see a Tucker 48 in the flesh. There is alleged to be one in the UK but not on public display. If anyone here has one do let me know![]()
