Bucket list ideas

Further to my comment in the "In memorium" thread, I'd be interested to hear what others have on their 'bucket list' of things they would like to do before time, health or the grim reaper removes any possibility of ticking the items off. Personally, I have recently become taken by the idea of walking part of the Camino de Santiago https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camino_de_Santiago - not because I am possessed of any religious fervour, but to indulge some time thinking of my brother who died a week before his 65th birthday 18 months ago.

That's my current bucket list itch, but what do others have on their list?

Whatever floats your boat! I was offered acid a few times in my youth but never felt the time or company was tempting enough to have a go. Sometimes I regret not taking it and sometimes I thank my stars that I was Mr Sensible - didn't always happen!

I would like to visit Vietnam, but wouldn't like the dog to stop in kennels for three or four weeks.

I would like to go see that aeroplane graveyard in the Nevada desert. Id like to go on a road trip around Japan in spring to see the cherry blossom and I would like to go see the forbidden coast in Namibia, but it’s highly unlikely I would get in…

Count 12 hours of being a gibbering mess, ideally with someone to keep an eye on you, a probably amazing experience, and some rancid comedown. Best comforted by alcohol and cannabis.

Im very familiar with the area, lived not far away in El Ferrol for a while. Its a beautiful part of the world….only trouble with walking is your daily milage is so low.

Pacific coast is nice, the bit north of San Fransisco was best.

Bucket list is about living your dream, not someone elses!

I never really had a bucket list, but I knew I wanted to travel, see the whole world, from an early age, build cars and bikes, and retire in some Asian country that was warm and dry. I basically wanted to not lead an ordinary boring pre-plotted life. I’d like to think I achieved it.

And now, back in Blighty, in a small bungalow in the most boring village in the country, I’m winding down to a graceful ending.

I have a couple things I’d like to do.
One was to see the northern lights but I saw it twice here last year. One other was go to Normandy in a Willys Jeep which I did last week.

In future I would like to drive across America to Canada between my friends places.
Also I’d like to go to Iceland, Finland and Norway. To make that even better it would be fun to do it on a bike.
Oh I want to do a vintage car rally as well. Might have something lined up for that maybe.

Top of my list at the minute is walking the length of the country (Lands End - John-o'Groats).

I did it by bike (bicycle) a few years ago, and was amazed at the different side of the country you see compared to driving, so walking it should be different again.

We all rush around, taking what's around us for granted, so my plan is to take the slow path, with my eyes open for a bit.

I need to do it before I'm too old though, and fingers crossed there could be an opportunity next year.

Nearest to me at Sywell, is just short of 3k for 25mins air time
