Had some time to mess about with it this morning. The motor wouldn’t start it again, just slow cranking not fast enough for the centrifugal switch to kick in. It was drawing 29a while slow cranking.Have you a clamp meter? knowing what amps it's pulling will give you a rough idea of hp
Let the belt off to get it going and it draws a steady 3.6 amps while running with no cutting. Doing a heavy cut on steel it draws 4 amps.
Measured voltage was 242v so 968w so I’d say a 1hp motor allowing for a bit of inefficiency?
I’ve done the pull thing that @Seadog mentioned and it pulls 1lb on an innacurate scale, not done the calc yet. Edit clac done 1.96lb so within spec.
Cleaned quite a lot of grease out and it seems to be running better. I ran it for 15mins at approx 900rpm and the casting was mildly warm. Which ties in with what the manual says.
Bearings cleaned up.
