I was in the same quandary so I added up the cost of all the fittings I would need to make one & it wasn't too far away from the price of one of the 10 gallon ones on amazon!
In your case you could make some of the fittings yourself such as the filler cap - I was using a 2" bsp black iron nipple & end cap. You could also make your own dosing valve from the design of one of our forum members (can't remember who ).

Remember you also need a big compressor to keep it fed in air! There's a good guide on the forum.

I know a lad who can blast it for you. He did the post box (gas bottle) for me for £20. Can give you his number if you want.

@doubleboost you could / should make one from a propane tank.
It would make a great project for your channel and show people howto do it properly.

Bit of plasma, mig, tig or stick and a bit of machining (to make a proper media valve) and you will have something that works far better than the pot you linked to.
Those pots can be improved and if used as a starting point will save a fair bit of time but where's the fun in that.

If you decide to go for it @brightspark and me both have posts on versions of a media valve that actually work and a lot of other mods that make those type of blast pot into very useful tools.

However for a one off job better to get someone else to do it for you but once you have a blaster you will always find uses for it.

I'm sure Bob's will be the best deal, but that machine mart one can be had a lot cheaper elsewhere.

Check eBay for ones that are identical, just not sold by machine mart...

if you don't fancy making the lot and can get a cheap pot making a decent grit valve and fitting a carbide jet will make it well usable the screw on lids a bit slow but easy top make a quick release one for filling anyone with a welder and a lathe might as well make there own out of a gas bottle then its only time and a few fittings and a jet .a pukka job for about 65 quid

Thanks, managed to find that after begging. Looks like a job to do - I have one of those machine mart pressure pots - useless on anthing abrasive - keeps clogging.
I have a huge stainless vapour cabinet, but have never used it wet, even though it came with a (fixed) venturi mixer/nozzle.
