Can you post a clear picture of the part which lists the input voltages.

I have worked out the 2 small black wires are the trigger, through those 2 little contacts behind the cowl, presume so machine won't start if nozzle isn't complete, there is also a thicker black attached to the air pipe connector in the machine which has continuity to the centre electrode, I can see a thicker red wire behind the nozzle but can't find what it connects to.

As said, that looks exactly like a Cebora machine.
Are you pressing the torch down when pulling the trigger? The two pins in torch head should be contacted by brass ring in nozzle holder while pulling the trigger switch to initiate pilot arc.
Also tired electrodes can occasionally go dead and refuse to arc at all! It's well worth trying a new tip before proceeding with any other fault finding.
