The Linisher, £26 off ebay, The stand i built was from some 1" stock i had in the pile.

you should mount an adjustable flat table on the front of it while your at it.
i use the nose of my linisher 95% of the time, no doubt it suits what i need it for here and you need the flat end of it more for your job.
i have the option of a flat part between the rollers on mine which i access by flipping over a lid on it.
it has a type of a carbon strip under the belt for a level surface but more importantly to give the belt some slip so as its not taking power from the motor.

id say you would find there isnt much between the price of a 1 and a 2 and possibly a 3hp motor, if it was me id look at it on the principle of the more HP the better.

you made a nice job of it tho, the only fault id personally have with it is the switch is too low, id have a wee rod cumin up to the side of her in a guide that would work the bolt aka lever below, but thats just me.

Fitted my Zirconia belts today. MASSIVE improvement. Theres certainly some material movement now! - I just need some more RPM and power now
