well if that's the bandsaw they were using im not surprised it has no guard on the front of the blade that can be slid up and down to suit the thickness of material without exposing the blade .I wire them up in schools put guards on them and safety switches and stops on them . a firm comes in once a year and inspects every machine and gives a safety certificate on them
